ブルーレイ3D対応PowerDVD10発売
3Dプレーヤーソフトウエア発売
3月24日、いよいよ本邦初の3D対応ブルーレイプレーヤーの発売です。海外ではすでに動作状況が報告されています。HDオーディオのビットストリームができないなど初期の不具合報告も散見されますが、cyberlink社がユーザーから意見を募り、技術者と修正に努めているようです。
Blu-ray 3Dディスクが世に出る今年半ばに3D対応MrakIIに無償アップデートするとのこと。現時点ではTrueTheaterのブラッシュアップと多様なファイル対応を果たしているようです。
まずは2D環境。3Dハードウエア環境は？
2D動作環境は通常のビデオカードからの映像・音声出力で、推奨カードやCPUなどが列挙されています。とりたてて特殊な環境ではなく、ミドルクラスで十分と思われます。またCorei7,5,3の記載は見当たりませんが、すでにClarkdaleユーザーの2D動作報告があります。 動作環境(jp.cyberlink.com)
3Dに関してはPC側の高度なハードウエアスペックが必要になるかもしれません。PowerDVDで3D動作するかどうかも今後発売されるビデオカードのうたい文句になりそうです。3D対応ビデオカード、特に早期から3Dに取り組んだNVIDIAのロードマップも注目です。ちなみにHDMI1.3での動作のようですが、(3.22 削除) AV機器側1.4との整合性も気になるところです。

ハイスペックなAV環境が必要？
3D方式的にはいくつかの方法が用意されていますが、高いqualityを求めれば、少なくともディスプレイ120Hz対応、AVアンプも3D対応などAV機器の大幅更新が必要となり、ハードルが高い環境になる可能性もあります。3D対応AV機器と3Dタイトルの発売状況を横目で見ながら、まずは2D基本性能の確認からでしょうか。
Blu-ray 3Dトランスポートプロジェクト発進
2Dブルーレイに関してはAVコンポーネントが先行しましたが、3DではPC環境が追いつきそうです。ブルーレイプレーヤー、AVアンプ、ディスプレイなどはすでに3D対応製品が発売、発表されています。ほぼ同時期にPCの3Dソフトウエアプレーヤーが世に出ることになります。PCが3Dソース機器となりうるためにはPCパーツの進化がキーを握っています。
前回終結した2Dブルーレイ再生専用機：Clarkdale Projectに続く、3Dマシンを追う企画のスタートです。

Few details, but release is planned later this year. What we do know is that it will be 1080p capable and use activer shutter 3D glasses. 3D Vaio laptops will be launched at sometime in 2010. Four 3D PS3 games will be available to download over PlayStation Network tomorrow. They’ll be free if you buy a Sony 3D TV. The three games are: Wipeout HD; SuperStardust HD; PAIN; and MotorStorm Pacific Rift Demo.

「ゲームの没入感は高まるが、「暗い」のが難点」 「応答速度も2msと高速で、120Hzの3D表示を行っても残像感が気になることはなかった」 「2倍の映像を作り出す必要があるため、3D Visionの利用中にはGPUの負荷が高くなり、通常よりゲームなどの映像は表示フレーム数が減る。これを防ぐには、極限まで性能を追求した「廃」スペックマシンを組むしかないだろう」

PCの場合はデュアルリンクDVI、フルHDを120MHzで伝送して3D。家電TVではHDMI1.4.でフルHDのプログレッシブ映像を従来の倍の速度で送信するだけの帯域を持たないため、1080p映画の場合24Hz、ゲーム60fpsの場合720pとなる。

わかりやすく面白い記事。PSゲームは3D映像をリアルタイムに演算して表示。ディスプレイ情報をEDIDで自動設定し最適な3D効果を得る仕様。10～1000インチまで設定可能。ゲームに関してはフレームパッキングで開発めどが立っているが、blu-ray 3Dは技術的難易度が高くcellフルパワーの機能を要求するとのこと。諦めるかもしれない？

Cyberlink software requires 32 or more stream processors in order to enable CUDA acceleration (except on an Atom / ION system where we enable CUDA with 16 or more stream processors).
The GT 210 has 16 stream processors (CUDA cores)
The GT 220 has 48 stream processors
The GT 240 has 96 stream processors
So, for CUDA acceleration, you’ll want to select the GT 220 or GT 240.
I’ll make sure we update the list of supported graphics cards.

LG CF3D – World’s First Full HD 3D Projector Dell S300w Short Throw Wireless Projector
LG unveils its CF3D, the world’s first Full HD, 3D Single Lens Type Projector that utilizes Sony’s SXRD technology. Based on 0.61-inch SXRD sensor, the CF3F offers Full HD 1920×1080 resolution, TruMotion 120Hz for smoother images, 7000:1 contrast ratio and 2500 lumens brightness.
LG CF3D features also Dual Engine and 3D Auto Picture Calibration technology. It has two HDMI 1.3 and a USB port. It is expected to be released in March 2010.
Dell S300w offers 1280×800 WXGA resolution, 2200ANSI lumens brightness, 2,400:1 contrast ratio, 0.521 wide and tele throw ratio, 80% Typical Uniformity. It can can wirelessly connect up to 20 PCs simultaneously and supports 4-to-1 split-screen projection. The S300w is based on DLP and BrillianColor technologies and comes with OSRAM 190 user-replaceable lamp with up to 5000 hours of life.
Dell S300w has HDMI, S-video, VGA, Composite inputs, one USB slave, one USB Type A and one USB Type B ports, Ethernet port and RSR232 port. It costs $999.
Acer H5360 NVIDIA 3D Vision-Ready Projectors Acer S5200 3D Ready DLP Projector
Acer’s X1261 3D-ready projector is ideal for home, business and classroom environments. It delivers XGA resolution, up to 2500 ANSI lumens, a 3700:1 contrast ratio and a a 50-120Hz vertical refresh rate. The projector lacks HDMI input, however.
Acer’s S5200 features 1024×768 XGA resolution, 2500:1 contrast ratio and 3000ANSI lumens brightness. It includes the ColorSafe for enhanced color reproduction and the 40-degree Vertical Keystone Correction that fixes vertical distortions. It offers up to 4000 hours of lamp life. Optoma EX762 3D Projector
Optoma announced in Korea the EX762, a DLP projector with 120Hz 3D-Ready technology. The new projector is equipped with TI’s DP2431 10bit Video processing Chip and DarkChip3 DMD DLP display chip. It features 1024×768 native resolution, 3000:1 contrast ratio and 4000 ANSI Lumens. The Optoma EX762 offers HDMI, D-sub, S-video, composite inputs, Ethernet LAN port, RS-232 and USB ports.

Not a supported feature.
3. DVD playback of a DVD title on your hard drive (a VIDEO_TS folder)
Supported for DVD titles that are not CSS protected. PowerDVD also supports playback of VOB files.
4. DVD playback of a DVD disc image (ISO image)
Not a supported feature.
Note that some things that are not supported features may still be possible to accomplish… but success would depend on other products or techniques that are beyond our control or ability to support. (from AVSF)

ダウンロード版を購入、Win7 x64, Integra DHC-80.1で動作させてみました。詳細は後日公開します。
Radeon 5870(Catalyst 10.2)： TrueHD DTS-HDのHDオーディオビットストリームはOK。
Intel Corei5 661: (driver 2086) デコードの選択肢が現れず、コアフォーマットのみのビットストリーム。EDID Overrideでもコアのみ。
いずれもHD動画の問題はなく、若干きれいになった印象。基本的には9と変わりないが、やはり3D対応が目玉のよう。アンプを変えもうすこし調整してみます。

PowerDVD 10 will support any 3D display system (display + glasses) that you choose. This includes polarized displays, as well as 120 Hz sequential frame displays with active LC shutter glasses.
The current release of PowerDVD 10 includes 2D to 3D enhancement of DVDs, but does not include 3D video file playback. I’m using pre-release versions of the next release of PowerDVD to give 3D demos to the press, and I got a little ahead of myself. The Mark II release will include 3D video file playback as well as full support for Blu-ray 3D.

サイバーリンク社(Tom氏)がNVIDIA のブルーレイ3DソリューションHDMI 1.4 VGAに言及。具体的にGT240を推奨しています。またこの場合のHDaudioビットストリームは、Auzen X-Fi HomeTheater HDを推奨。Panasonic, NVIDIAがクローズアップされています。ATIやIntelとは対照的にHD audio はdiscrete 再生のようです。俄然Auzenの存在が注目されそうです。記載はかなり具体的です。手元にあればすぐにも組めそうです。

I don’t think that they have explicitly announced the list of supported cards / graphics for the 3D TV Play solution. I need to let NVIDIA speak for NVIDIA. I just wanted to point to this to let people know that there are solutions for an HTPC playing Blu-ray 3D and other 3D video on a new 3D TV through HDMI 1.4.
